全康玉 Jeon Kang Ok
Jeon Kang Ok is a South Korean artist whose practice centers on the physical and metaphysical explorations of kinetic sculpture. His work consistently revolves around the theme of “Gravity,” navigating the tensions between imbalance, suspension, and structural support. By challenging the inherent weight of materials, Jeon seeks to dismantle perceived reality and craft a poetic equilibrium that exists between the tangible and the imaginary.
Jeon holds an extensive academic pedigree, having earned his B.F.A. from Won-Kwang University in Korea before pursuing further studies in France, where he received his M.F.A. from the University of Rennes II and a Ph.D. in Fine Art from the University of Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne. His work has been featured in numerous solo exhibitions across Paris and Seoul and is held in prestigious permanent collections, including the Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA), the Pohang Museum of Steel Art, and the Rennes Municipal Hall in France. He currently lives and works in South Korea.
