霍旭旻 Huo Xumin
Huo Xumin is a contemporary artist born in 1993 in Guangxi. He currently serves on the faculty of the Public Art Department at the School of Art, Guangxi Foreign Languages University. Huo earned both his B.F.A. and M.F.A. in Oil Painting from the Guangxi Arts University, building a practice that bridges rigorous academic training with contemporary narrative and evocative imagery.
His work often draws from natural phenomena and everyday emotions, utilizing nuanced composition and expressive brushwork to explore the intersections of space, time, and personal experience. His representative series, Waiting for the Rain, has been featured in prestigious academic exhibitions, including the 10th Anniversary Special Exhibition of the John Moores Painting Prize (China) at the Art Museum of Nanjing University of the Arts (AMNUA). He currently lives and works in Nanning.
当代艺术家，1993年生于广西，现任教于广西外国语学院艺术学院公共艺术系。霍旭旻先后获得广西艺术学院油画系学士及硕士学位，其艺术实践在学院派油画的深厚功底之上，展开了关于当代叙事与意象表达的深度探索。
他的创作常以自然物象与日常情感为切入点，致力于通过细腻的构图与极具张力的笔触，探讨空间、时间与个体经验的交叠。其代表作《等雨来》系列曾入选“约翰·莫尔绘画奖（中国）10周年特展”等重要国际性学术展览，展现出对绘画媒介当代性的独特洞察与控制力。目前工作并定居于南宁。
