This installation recontextualizes the classical iconography of Venus—a symbol of immutable beauty—through the lens of digital fragmentation. The artist employs a “physical pixel matrix” constructed from metallic ceramic tiles as the projection canvas. Unlike a flat screen, the three-dimensional topography and reflective nature of the tiles physically distort the projected light, adding a layer of tangible chaos to the digital image.
Through algorithmic segmentation and glitch aesthetics, the serene visage of Venus is continuously deconstructed and reassembled. The juxtaposition of the cold, industrial ceramic material with the ephemeral, high-speed digital projection creates a dialogue between the permanence of history and the volatility of the information age. The work invites viewers to witness the dissolution of the classical ideal into a fluid, cybernetic stream of data.
