Ink · Crystal · Jing an early mixed-media painting from my “Ink and Crystal” series, marks a key transition from traditional oil painting to concept-driven, material-based expression. Created when I discovered an accidental ink-stained Xuan paper ball while wiping oil paint, the work emerged not from preconception but from the dialogue between erasure and preservation. The resulting textures—fluid, folded, and irregular—visually articulated my pursuit of an “Eastern sensibility” rooted in liquidity and resilience. /Ink · Crystal · Jing is both a foundational piece and a conceptual cornerstone for my ongoing research into cross-media practices, posthuman ecologies, and the symbiotic potentials between humans, nature, and technology.
